The subject of the present invention is a coating agent containing one or more polyacrylate resins with an hydroxyl group as the binder (A), and one or more cross-linking agents (B), with the component (A) being obtained by free-radical polymerization of: a) 5 % to 80 % by weight of one or more alicyclic esters of (meth)acrylic acid, b) 10 % to 50 % by weight of one or more alkyl esters of (meth)acrylic acid containing an hydroxyl group, c) 1 % to 25 % by weight of one or more monomers having two or more polymerizable, olefinically unsaturated double bonds, d) 0 % to 25 % by weight of one or more additional monomers containing an hydroxyl group, e) 5 % to 80 % by weight of one or more aliphatic esters of (meth)acrylic acid, f) 0 % to 40 % by weight of one or more vinyl aromatics, and g) 0 % to 40 % by weight of one or more additional monomers, with the sum of the percentages by weight of all the monomers (a) to (g) always being 100 %. Also covered by the invention is a method of producing a multiple-layer paint coating using the coating agent according to the invention, and the use of the coating agent according to the invention as a top coat, especially for painting repaired automobiles.
