Ophthalmometer for measuring eye cornea curvature

The ophthalmometer includes parallel illumination light which is directed onto a cornea (13). A rotatable optical unit (7) is located in the path of the reflected light which is imaged onto a photoelectric detector (16). A cylindrical lens (15) is inserted in the light path between the rotatable optical unit and the photoelectric detector. Preferably, measuring orifices (5,9) are provided in front of and behind the optical unit. The illumination light and the reflected light are imaged onto the measurement orifices.
