A refrigeration machine or heat pump includes a sorption circuit with a solid sorbent or reactant, an evaporator, a condenser, a reactor for the alternating synthesis and decomposition phases and a compressor. The compressor is arranged between the evaporator and the reactor working in synthesis phase and thereby improves the mass transfer in the reactor working in synthesis phase.
