Heat transfer test method for freezer pipes used in earth icing when strengthening ground, e.g. in tunnel building

The method involves inserting a test pipe into the freezer pipe, applying a defined amount of energy over the test pipe on the freezer pipe, and using a transfer of the energy supplied over the length of the test pipe to a test medium arranged around the freezer pipe. The transfer of energy acts as a measure for the heat transmission quality of the freezer pipe. The energy is preferably supplied over a carrier medium, directly in form of heat or cold. The energy source may be ultrasound, electrical current or warm water.
