Process for the recovery of polyolefins from polyolefin-containing plastic mixtures or polyolefin-containing waste

A process for the production of impurity-free, colourless and odourless polyolefin (I) from POL-containing plastic mixtures or waste materials (II), comprising (1) extraction of (II) with a hydrocarbon fraction (III) in the petrol or diesel fuel range with a b.pt. above 90 degrees C, by heating to a temperature between 90 degrees C and the boiling range of (III), (2) separation of the hot primary polyolefin solution from the extraction residue, treatment of the solution by intensive contact with active earth and/or active carbon (IV) and then removing the earth and/or carbon with the adsorbed impurities, and (3) cooling to below 70 degrees C and isolating the crystallised polyolefin.
