The housing is in the form of a sphere (10) and has two areas (12,16) on its exterior surface, each area having a connection (14,18) for supply and dissipation of energy. The spherical housing can accommodate assemblies or units of various applications. The supply connection (14) can be used as a gas supply, a light wave supply, electrical supply, or as a fuel supply and the outlet connection (18) may serve for dissipation of the generated energy.
