Photon test instrument for determining presence of photons

The test instrument includes a light source (2) from which two generally identical light beams are emitted. One of the light beams is focusly supplied to a photocell (7) the other one is unfocusly supplied to another photocell. The cells are connected to identical high-performance amplifiers (8) and electronic counters (9) which count the free electrons produced in each cell. The light source can be regulated so that the non-focussed light beam effects little or no release of free electrons. The instrument is based on Einstein's theory that photons can not move across empty space without dividing. It should answer the question of whether light has a dual nature with photons or possess only a pure wave structure comparable with other electromagnetic waves, e.g. radio waves.
