摘要
Determining the concentration of glucose in a body fluid, comprising using an enzyme specific for glucose with the absence of a catalase, to trigger an oxygen-consuming reaction by extinction, or polarimetry, is new. The oxygen supply is dosed so that only a relatively small amount of glucose can be determined exactly and/or computed indirectly. Before measurement, particles containing peroxidase or catalase are removed, which could release hydrogen peroxide while oxygen is consumed which would interfere with the reaction.
