The lamp includes a discharge tube, conductors which are embedded in sealed sections of the discharge tube and are connected with electrodes, a connecting part which is directly connected with the conductors or through an adapter circuit and is suitable for connecting the discharge lamp with a voltage source, and a casing which comprises a shell which carries the discharge tube, and a hood which is mounted at the connecting part. At least one primary (23) and at least one secondary conductor support part (24) are provided on the inside of the shell (21). The support parts comprise respectively at least one mounting- and/or fixture part (23a, 24a) for clamping the conductors (16, 17, 18, 19). The number of conductors which are clamped in the mounting- and/or fixture part of the secondary conductor support part is smaller or equal to the corresponding number of conductors mounted in the primary conductor support part.
