The system collects, shreds, homogenises and stores waste generated in small quantities on hotels, restaurants, etc. The waste is loaded on site into a funnel (1), foreign bodies such as cutlery being recognised by a metal detector and held back. After shutting the lid (2), the waste is passed through the shredder (3), being formed into a continuous stream fed to a storage unit. The latter can consist of a hopper (4) in which the waste is homogenised, or alternatively a batching unit using it to fill vessels, which are then sealed odour-proof and stacked.
