The container has a discharge device, which comprises a paddle wheel (4) which over the container floor (2). The paddle wheel loosens the material and drives it towards an outlet in the floor. The paddle wheel has paddles of different length, which are provided with cutter blades. One of the paddles has a cutter blade which reaches almost to the container side-wall. When viewed from above, one paddle extends at least as far as the edge of a screw trough (5) arranged under the outlet that is next to the paddle axis. Another paddle extends out over the screw trough.
