The garment (5) is hung from the hanger (1) using at least one flat clip (8) each containing two clamping pads pressed against either side of the garment. Preferably the hanger contains four flat clips with clip-like brackets which are used to slide them along a horizontal rail (3) in the bottom of the hanger frame. The clamping pads are perforated and their opposing surfaces have rippled profiles that engage with each other. Clips in the clamping pads allow several of these pads to be joined together underneath each other.
