The present invention relates to flame retardant polycarbonate-containing polymer composition comprising a thermoplastic polycarbonate, a elkalimetaalzout of an organic or inorganic acid and a tetrahalogeenftaalimide, wherein if phthalimide is employed a bisfenolsulfon-N, N'-diftaalimide having the following general formula: (see fig) wherein at least one X is halogen and the other is hydrogen or halogen and preferably chlorine. Such bisfenosulfon-N, N'-diftaallimides and possess excellent thermal stability and are very suitable as flame-retardant component in a flame-retardant polycarbonate-containing polymer compositions.
