PURPOSE: To surely enable program searching of a music from the leading position of the music by recording a track number signal showing every music number on a recording medium at the timing immediately before the music head position of every music. ;CONSTITUTION: First of all, after an initial value 1 of a track number is stored in an incorporated register of a CPU 29, an audio signal is supplied from a dubbing source side successively. Thereafter, after a sound-less state elapses for the time TS, when the music head part of the audio signal equivalent to one program is supplied to a sound recording device itself, by a sound detection circuit 22, the sound state of the music head part of one program is detected, and a music starting signal is generated to be sent to a CPU bus 24 as a detection signal. Thus, counting is started by a delay counter 26. Meanwhile, the audio signal is delayed by the time T1 by a delay circuit 21 to be supplied to an encoder 23.
