The subject of the present invention is a tooth (tine) for working the ground, intended to be mounted on a towed or mounted chassis. The tooth according to the invention is of the type including an elongate elastic web (1) exhibiting a substantially vertical upper part (2) and a lower part (3) which is curved into a circular arc or offset with respect to the preceding one, the said lower part being the one that penetrates into the ground. According to the invention, the said lower part of the web is twisted with respect to the upper part so that its lower end is angularly offset with respect to the said upper part and to the axis of forward travel and forms an acute angle with the said axis, the lower end of the web receives, laterally to its curved face, a toolholder (4), of which blade one triangular end comes in front of the edge of the web, the said blade bearing a tip (9) at its triangular end and, at its upper end, coulter (8) in front of the web of the said tooth.
