A glove for karate ensuring a maximum protection

The glove consists of a one-piece protector (10) for the back of the hand, made with a pocket (16) for the fingertips, an additional pad (18, 20) on each side to protect the thumb and edge of the hand, a retaining strap (12) in the middle and a wrist fastening band (14), e.g. of 'Velcro' (RTM). The protector is thermally moulded in the form of an envelope of a material with a low friction coefficient, such as polyethylene or polypropylene, and it is filled with a shock absorbing material such as foam or fibres, or with air. The wrist band is made with a portion which carries an identification of the wearer, his nationality, sponsor or sporting logo.
