The method consists in carrying out seismic prospection operations using a drilling tool (1) into action at the bottom of a well (2), which creates a very powerful seismic shocks, to be transmitted in real time or delayed, the reference signals representative of the vibrations of the tool and to correlate the seismic signals picked up by a receiver assembly (12), with the reference signals. The reference signals are supplied by sensors (7) in contact with the drilling column and at a distance from the bottom assembly constituted by the tool (1) and of the masses - rods associated (4).
