The finishing roller is a rotating drum, designed to pass over and work the soil into a fine tilth for planting. The drum is fitted with series of teeth (3), which are fitted in rows. The rows follow the paths generated by helices, wound around the circumference of the drum. The drum is divided into zones. Two lateral zones (4,5) are arranged symmetrically on either side of the central plane (6) of the drum. The teeth are implanted in the drum, as if on a fine thread, to move the earth towards the centre of the drum. In the central zone (7), the teeth are arranged symmetrically around the central plane and with a coarser thread, two to four times greater than the thread in the lateral zones.
