Selector of particles loaded, as a function of their electrical 25, and their relaxation time

The charged particle selector includes two circular electrical mobility selectors (1,4) and each selector has two separated and parallel coaxial separated discs(6,8,10,12). An annular input slot(14,18) of radius r1 is formed in the first disc. A central breather (22,24) permits a flow of laminar, centripetal and stable air to circulate between the discs. An electric field is applied between the discs. The particles, selected by an annular slot(16,26), of radius r2(r2 } r1), formed in the second disc of the first mobility detector(2), are directed towards the annular input slot(18) of the second mobility detector.
