Anti-fraud monitoring method for cable TV distribution network

The method involves using individual subscriber channel filters (16) which connect each subscriber to a central distribution network (14). Each filter is set so the subscriber receives only the channels he is entitled to. The DC current through each filter circuit is monitored and any interruption in current is detected and an alarm sounded. In response to the interruption detection a switch inserted in the HF line of the connection unit and distribution of the television signals through the network is halted.
