Purification of phospholipids with a high content of long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, obtained from a natural product, comprises subjecting them to centrifugal partition chromatography using a solvent system which consists of heptane or isooctane, ethyl acetate and acetonitrile. The purified phospholipids are claimed per se.
