Emergency vehicle attending sites of e.g. hazardous industrial releases

The emergency vehicle allows rapid, safe intervention at sites of pollution risk from toxic materials. It attends locations presenting technical and chemical hazards, following natural or industrial disasters. In the vehicle, operational (2) and driving (3) compartments form a single block mounted on a chassis with four wheel drive. The compartment is pressurised and fed with filtered air. Entry is via an air lock (5), with decontamination shower. The compartment is equipped with a computer controlling analytical equipment making qualitative and quantitative measurements of air, water and earth. Meteorological instrumentation is carried by a telescopic mast (11) integral with the vehicle. The rear of the compartment (2) is fitted out to carry equipment required for external operations. The bodywork is preferably made of stratified polyester, and metal is protected by anti-corrosion paint.
