The microcomputer network includes a server microcomputer (1) and an operator console (15) installed at a central location, and at least one terminal (2) in each depot. Each terminal is equipped with a microcomputer (3) which has a man-machine interface (4), a reader (5) enabling identification of clients and a printer for delivery notes. A bi-directional transmission system (9-13) allows transfer of data between the central server and the remote terminals. The control interface comprises a screen and keyboard, but alternatively comprises a touch screen. The reader for identification of clients comprises a device reading badges carried by the clients.
