BR/ The equivalent crack permeability of a crack network in a an underground multilayer medium is determined by discretizing, by means of a specific procedure, each crack (F) of the crack network in crack elements (R) (such as rectangles for example) and by defining nodes N representing interconnected crack elements in each layer of the medium and determining fluid flows (eg steady state flows) through the discretized network by imposing boundary pressure conditions and fluid transmissivities at each pair of neighboring nodes. The method makes it possible to systematically link cracked reservoir characterization models with double porosity simulators in order to realize a more realistic modeling of a cracked underground geological structure.
