The strand comprises several solid wires twisted together (6, 7) between which it includes internal interstices (i). At least some of these wires (7) have a portion of their surface which is exposed in such a way that, when the strand is installed in a sheath in which is injected a slurry, the slurry comes into contact with these surface portions exposed. A filling material is present in the internal interstices of the strand so as to prevent the infiltration of liquid contained in the slurry between the wires and the path of the liquid along the interstices (i) .
