A plant growth promoter comprising as the active ingredients (i) a jasmonic acid or jasmonate of the formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R. sup.1 is pentyl or pentenyl and R.sup.2 is hydrogen or alkyl, and (ii) a brassinosteroid of the formula (2): ##STR2##
