PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supported type polymerization initiation system suitable for use in an ion polymerization of conjugated dienes and copolymerization of the conjugated dienes with further monomers, in a suspension method or a vapor phase method. ;SOLUTION: This initiation system concerns the one generally applicable to a vapor phase or suspension ion polymerization method of monomers, and the method comprises use of the supported type polymerization initiation system comprising (a) one or more kinds of components capable of initiating the ion polymerization, (b) a supporter having the polymerization initiation component attached thereto, and (c) optionally one or more kinds of modifiers capable of providing an influence on a reaction rate and/or product characteristics.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
