PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely position a lift table on a storage rack even if storage racks are arranged at different pitches. ;SOLUTION: To transfer a vehicle, four positioning rods 35 provided at the four corners of a lift table 10 are advanced by a power cylinder 37 and received by four rod receiving members 39 provided at a pair of front and rear columns 9 on a carrying truck, to set the vehicle carrying level of the lift table 10 at the vehicle mounting level of a storage rack. When the lift table 10 is raised or lowered, each positioning rod 35 is moved back by the power cylinder 37 and spaced from each rod receiving member 39 to permit the rise and fall of the lift table 10. Therefore, the lift table 10 is positioned on the carrying truck irrespective of the storage rack.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
