PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a surface acoustic wave(SAW) correlation device to a long correlation processing section by shortening synchronizing capture time between a spread code and an inverse spread code in a spread spectrum signal receiver. SOLUTION: The spread spectrum signal receiver 100 is provided with plural correlation processing systems consisting of correlation means 21 (21-1 to 21-3) for generating the peaks of plural correlation outputs having respectively different generation time to a correlation processing section to be a prescribed code section to execute correlation processing for a spread code included in a received signal and initializing pulse generation means 26 (26-1 to 26-3) for respectively generating initializing pulses by using the peaks as triggers, a reverse spread code timing generation means 3 for using a peak detected at first out of plural correlation outputs from respective systems as a trigger and instructing the generation of an inverse spread code by the same phase as the peak and an inverse spread code generation means 4 for generating an inverse spread code by the phase instructed by the means 3 and constituted so as to generate an inverse spread code cd by a phase corresponding to the trigger to obtain a primary modulation signal.
