PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fuel capable of efficiently preventing the damage of combustion furnaces or boilers along with efficiently preventing toxic gas generation when burned, using waste plastics together with oil tank residuals and/or spilled crude oil without discarding them as industrial wastes, and to obtain such a fuel. ;SOLUTION: This method for producing a fuel comprises the following processes: waste plastics and oil tank residuals or spilled crude oil are kneaded together under heating (hot kneading process 1); calcium hydroxide and/or iron powder as catalyst is added during the above kneading process (catalyst addition/feed process 5); and the resulting mixture is processed into a solid, liquid (gel-like) or particulate fuel form (fuel formation process 8).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
