EXPERIMENTAL FACILITIES FOR CLOSED ECOSYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct the subject facilities capable of stably controlling a complicated ecosystem through easing restriction on the capacity limit of a system by cutting off part of a natural ecosystem and reconstructing it in a closed space followed by conducting active environmental control. ;SOLUTION: When conducting experiments concerning natural ecosystem study and global environment maintenance study in experimental facilities for closed ecosystem in which a mimic ecosystem is maintained in a closed space in a state that the transfer of external substances into the space is intercepted, are conducted, the facilities are provided with (A) mimic ecosystems 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, (B) a maintainer 10 converting unnecessary substances from these ecosystems into necessary substances and controlling the circulation of substances needed for maintaining the ecosystems 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 to adjust the environmental conditions of these ecosystems and (C) at least one of a group comprising a fermentor for conducting the alcoholic fermentation of botanical biomass having bad influence on the ecosystems, a reactor for converting alcohols into ethylene, or the like.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
