PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video deck capable of preventing the power source from leaving it turned on and a warning generating method for leaving the power source of the video deck turned on. ;SOLUTION: By setting the ON/OFF state of the power source of a television 200 as an external monitor to be judged by means of a consent current detecting circuit 110 connected to a system computer 40 under the condition capable of judging the ON/OFF state of a main power by monitoring the operation of a main power switch 61 and the power key 71d of a remote controller 71 by CPU 42, when it is judged that only the power source of the television 200 is turned off although the power source of the video deck is turned on by monitoring processing executed by the CPU, since warning is issued through a voice generating circuit, the state, that video recording is not performed by leaving the power source turned on in spite of the reservation of timer video recording, is prevented in advance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
