PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately restore the form of a frame sent from a branch LAN and arrived via a trunk line LAN into an original frame form. ;SOLUTION: A bridge 1 connects a branch LAN 2 to a trunk line LAN 3 and is provided with an original protocol detection section 11 that analyzes frame type information included in a frame reached from the trunk line LAN 3 and detects a source protocol of the branch LAN 2 being a transmission source of the frame and with a frame form restoration section 12 that restores the form of the frame arrived from the trunk line LAN 3 corresponding to the protocol detected by the source protocol detection section 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
