PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sheath-core type polyester conjugated fiber suitable for producing fabrics of high resitience properties. SOLUTION: This sheath-core conjugated fiber has to the sheath A and core B part made of polyethylene terephthalate in which the intrinsic viscosity of the core component is higher that of the sheath component, the viscosity difference between them (Δ[η]) and the weight ratio of the core to the sheath (R) satisfy the relation of 0.07=Δ[η]/R1/2 =0.30, with the thermal stress S of =300 mg/d and the eccentricity of 1.2.
