EVENT TRANSITION ESTIMATING METHOD AND RECORD MEDIUM RECORDING EVENT TRANSITION ESTIMATION PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically obtain inter-event causal knowledge which is inherent in natural language text and to accurately estimate inter-event transition. SOLUTION: This estimating method constructs a causal relation graph from a node consisting of case frames 1, 2,..., arcs 1-2, 1-3,... which connect nodes having causal relations to each other and labels 1-2, 1-3,... which represent the form and extent of a causal relation between nodes connected by the arc, retrieves a node to a designated case frame from the causal knowledge graph, enumerates each node connected through the retrieved node and arc and outputs a node that can next occur in common-sense terms to a designated node based on the label of each arc that respectively connects each of the enumerated nodes to the retrieved node.
