PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to produce chord progress data candidates without a high degree of musical knowledge and to support the production and edition work of chord progress data in a high degree with an easy operation, by analyzing playing information data and producing chord progress data suitable for playing information by using either a first playing delimiting position or second playing delimiting position. SOLUTION: A controller detects the musical delimiting positions by the number of notes, note lengths and sound production timing patterns by analyzing the note data corresponding to the tracks (or blocks) assigned as objective for chord production (S43). The controller assigns the part of the track or block held by the two musical delimition positions as a section (S43). The style data stored in a style sequencer is used for determining the musical delimiting positions, thereby, the setting of the exact musical delimition positions is made possible while the existing style data is effectively utilized.
