PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject fishline tending to gradually increase its extension in response to stress, capable of affording a feel more sensitively when a fish is caught, thus good in tug, by heat treatment of a specific fine wire within a specified temperature range under tension. ;SOLUTION: This fishline of Ni-Ti-based shape memory alloy is obtained by subjecting such an alloy to cold working so as to be ≥40% in regressive rate after annealing to form a fine wire with a diameter of 0.03-0.2 mm which, in turn, is heat-treated at 100-340°C under tension. This fishline has a tensile strength of ≥170 kgf/mm2 (pref. ≥190 kgf/mm2) and an elongation of 7-15% (pref. 10-15%) each at room temperature (23-25°C).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
