PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peptide effective for the diagnosis of Equine arteritis virus(EAV)-infected diseases by expressing the recombined protein of EAV except the GL protein of the EAV in one of various kinds of expression systems. ;SOLUTION: This polypeptide having the antigenicity of Equine arteritis virus(EAV) is obtained by building a recombined nucleic acid sequence so that continuous six histidine residues are imparted to the N-terminal or the inner portion of a polypeptide encoded in the genome of EAV, inserting the recombined nucleic acid sequence into the downstream of a polyhedrin promoter, infecting a host cell with the obtained baculovirus, culturing the infected host cell and subsequently purifying the produced polypeptide having the antigenicity of the EAV.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
