PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate perfume application to a paper tube and improve the durability of an aromatic effect by incorporating a specified amount of a perfume in an adhesive having a specified viscosity when a paper tube for a roll type toilet paper is formed, by superposing plural pieces of paper and by gluing them together with an adhesive. SOLUTION: A paper tube 1 for a roll type toilet paper is formed by winding base paper into a tube, and gluing them with an adhesive 4 applied to the rear side of the paper forming an outer layer 2. At this time, the adhesive 4 has a viscosity of 1000 to 3000 cP, and a perfume of 1 to 40 wt.% is contained in the adhesive 4. As the base paper for the paper tube 1, a plastic film having a gas permeability (JAPAN TAPPI paper pulp testing method No.5) of 10 to 500 sec./200 cc, or an oxygen gas permeability (JIS K 7126-1987) of 5000 cc/m2 .24 h.Atm or less is used, thereby increasing the durability of an aromatic effect of a core for a perfumed roll of toilet paper.
