PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing technology for a capsulated pancreatic islet being thin, heterograftable, and covered with an immunity isolating film, which reduces a graft volume, without an empty capsule by a method wherein a specified (g) is applied by a specific gravity density gradient centrifugation, and only a pancreatic islet is made to pass through a solution layer containing barium chloride. ;SOLUTION: The uppermost layer is a layer of a solution wherein pancreatic islets are floated in a sodium alginate solution, and a second layer is a layer of a solution equipped with a specific gravity and a viscosity by which an algin acid solution itself may not sink even when a gravitational force is applied at the time of centrifugation, and a third layer is a layer of a solution containing 25 mM-Bacl2, and a fourth layer is a layer of a solution having a specific gravity and a viscosity by which pancreatic islets may not sink to the bottom of a centrifugal tube by a gravitational force at the time of the centrifugation, and a culture tube which is formed in multiple layers comprising such layers, is placed in a centrifugal separator, and the pancreatic islets are centrifugally separated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
