PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the separation effect for a device for cleaning and separating polluted substances. SOLUTION: This device is utilized for cleaning and separating substances fed continuously and polluted by organic matters, clay matters and others from bulky and very fine granular solid matters such as pebbles just after being excavated and separated. The device is provided with a cleaning tank 8 and a raw material is introduced by the forces of a chute 4 and a shower 5 or 27. The cleaning tank 8 is operated by a supporting roller 9 and a belt conveyor 2 installed on a circulating type mechanical frame 1 supported on a pull roller 10. The belt conveyor 2 is connected with the cleaning tank 8 and provided with an inclined section 3 in the direction 11 in which the belt travels, and an introduction chute 4 is so disposed as to vary the direction 12 in which a raw material is flowed to the vertical or the belt traveling direction so that the raw material reaches above the belt conveyor 2 in an area of the cleaning tank 8. Showers 6 are so disposed as to be operated opposite to the belt travelling direction 11 on the front and the middle of the cleaning tank 8.
