PEELING METHOD FOR BILLET FOR COOLING CUTTING OIL AND CUTTING POINT BY USE OF LIQUID NITROGEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the peeling cutting number by improving the cooling capability of a peeling tool by oil cooling to lengthen the life of the peeling tool by burning. ;SOLUTION: Circulating cooling oil 6 having a temperature about 40°C is circulated to retun from a circulating oil cooling oil receiver 11 after oil cooling for a tool into a circulating cooling oil storing tank 5. A liquid nitrogen having a temperature of -193°C in a bomb 1 is passed from a pipe 3 through the circulating cooling oil 6 stored in the circulating cooling oil storing tank 5 to lower the temperature of the circulating cooling oil 6, and the cooled circulating cooling oil 6 is sprayed from a cooling oil spray nozzle 8 to a tool knife edge of a peeling cutting point 9 to cool the tool knife edge. On the other hand, the liquid nitrogen which cooled the circulating cooling oil 6 is evaporated by a liquid nitrogen evaporating device 7, and nitrogen gas which is yet at a low temperature is further emitted from a nitrogen gas spray nozzle 10 to the peeling tool cutting point 9 during peeling to cool the knife edge of the peeling tool. At the same time, cutting chips generated by pealing around the peeling tool cutting point are blown away and removed from the vicinity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
