PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device provided with NG warning function capable of outputting information used for discriminating whether or not a video is suitable for edit while an object is photographed or just after the object is photographed. ;SOLUTION: This image pickup device is provided with a photographing section 1 that photographs an object, a consecutive image memory section 2 that stores an image photographed by the photographing section, an information extract section 4 that extracts various information including lightness, color, camera work, motion of an object and fog of an image in the image stored in the consecutive image memory section, a state discrimination circuit section 6 that discriminates whether or not the image is proper to edit based on the various information extracted by the information extract section, an NG state signal output section 8 which informs that the image is not proper to edit in the case that the state discrimination section discriminates it that the image stored in the consecutive image memory section is not proper to edit, a data storage section 3 that stores the image stored in the consecutive image memory section, an image display section 5 that displays the image or the like at photographing and a control section 7 that controls each section.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
