MEDICINE FOR PREVENTING OR TREATING BONE TISSUE DAMAGE AND FOR REINFORCING BONE STRUCTURAL ELEMENT AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medicine exhibiting no side effects and useful for preventing or treating osteoporosis, by including specific calcium-alkali metal citrate(s) so as to enable metabolism not so complicated in human tissues. SOLUTION: This medicine contains one or more kinds of calcium-alkali metal citrate of the formula CaXC6 H5 O7 (X is an alkali metal) or hydrate(s) thereof or hydrate mixture. This medicine is obtained by the following procedure: a reaction is carried out at pH 4.6-4.8 and 80-95 deg.C for 1-1.5 h under reflux and agitation between (A) an aqueous suspension of calcium citrate, (B) an alkali metal citrate and (C) a concentrated aqueous solution of citric acid in the molar ratio A/B/C of (2:2:1) to (2:2.5:1) followed by filtration of a solution containing a precipitate formed after the reaction and then washing the remainings with water at least once followed by e.g. drying the resultant remainings.
