PREPARATION OF EMBROIDERY DATA FOR STATIONARY STITCH AND EMBROIDERY CONTROL UNIT FOR STATIONARY STITCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform the operation for making cut off holes on a sheet for stationary stitch by preparing cut data for such holes. ;SOLUTION: An embroidery pattern 4 is displayed on the screen of a display 25 disposed on an embroidery machine along with displaying the starting point for the embroidery pattern 4 and a cursor 30; the cursor 30 is moved along the contour of the embroidery pattern 4 on the screen by the manipulation of e.g. a mouse to input a plurality of indication points A1, A2,..., A10 and so forth successively, and these points are connected adjacently by straight lines, respectively, thus forming a polygon enclosing the embroidery pattern 4 from the outside; thereafter, a plurality of needle drop points are inputted by arithmetical means between the above indication points, respectively, thus preparing cut data 34 composed of these needle drop points.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
