PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve a failure that the function as a wheelchair that a seat unit and a traveling unit can be adjusted matched with the needs of a user is not sufficiently prepared. ;SOLUTION: This traveling unit is provided with a frame 2, a pair of foot plates 3 attached and arranged at the front part of the frame 2, a pair of casters 4 attached to the front lower part of the frame, a pair of traveling wheels 5 freely turnably and pivotally supported facing both side parts of the frame 2 and provided with a hand rim for a holding manual operation on a concentric outer side and the fitting member 61 of the leg L of a chair C used as a normal sitting chair arranged at the upper part of the frame 2. The foot plates 3 are attached so as to set and adjust a vertical position and the inclination of front and back directions to the frame 2. Also, the wheels 5 are attached so as to be moved and adjusted in the front and back directions and a vertical direction to the frame 2.
