SOLUTION: In a baggage collecting and delivering system for managing the collecting and delivery of a baggage to be operated through plural collection and delivery stages, character recognition is operated by reading a document for transportation for managing the transportation of a baggage, and character recognition data are generated. The generated character recognition data are transmitted with the identification information of a terminal side equipment to a baggage management processing part (S201-S203). The baggage management processing part receives the character recognition data and the identification information, operates registration for managing the baggage based on the received character recognition data (S204 and S205), and manages the transportation situation of the baggage based on the received identification information (S206-S208).
