PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a multispectrum image into high resolution and to widely apply that image for analyzing a panchromatic image by correcting the multispectal image while using the panchromatic image. ;SOLUTION: An artificial satellite 10 measures the strength of reflection on the surface of ground or water or the like and transmits an image to satellite information reception equipment 15. This image is preserved in a data base 30 of a satellite image processing system 20 while being divided into multispectral(MS) data 35 and panchromatic(PH) data 40. The preserved image is sent to an image processing module 50, the correlative relation of MS and PM images is analyzed by a correlation expression preparing means 100, and the data value from the PM image to the MS image is made into high resolution by a resolution improving means 150 while using the contribution correlative expression for a contribution correlative relation preparing means 120. Next, the image made into high resolution is verified and corrected by a data correcting means 200, afterwards, the target analysis is performed by a data analytic means 250 and the result is displayed on a CRT 45.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
