MULTISTAGE LETTERPRESS, BLADED LETTERPRESS AND PRODUCTION OF MULTISTAGE LETTERPRESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily produce a multistage letterpress for forming relief patterns at a low cost by forming resist films in correspondence to forming patterns of projecting parts in order of higher height on a steel-base plate and subjecting the resist films to etching, thereby successively forming a plurality of projecting parts varying in the heights. ;SOLUTION: A photosensitive resist 22 is formed on the steel plate 21 having a smooth surface and a negative film 23 having transparent parts corresponding to the forming patterns of the highest projecting parts is disposed thereon and is exposed from above, by which the photosensitive resist 22 is developed and the resist films 24 corresponding to the forming patterns of the projecting parts are obtd. The surface formed with the resist films 24 is etched to a prescribed depth and thereafter, the photosensitive resist 25 is formed thereon and a negative film 26 having the light transmitting parts corresponding to the forming patterns of the next higher projecting parts is disposed and is exposed and developed, by which the resist films 27 corresponding to the next higher projecting parts are formed. The resist films are then subjected to etching of a prescribed depth. Finally, the resist films 24 and the resist films 27 are peeled and removed from the steel plate 21.
