PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treated steel sheet for a film laminating two- piece can which is appliable to all contents by inhibiting deterioration of processing adhesive property and corrosion resistance of a can body applied to severe processing after film lamination and to provide its producing method. ;SOLUTION: In at least one side of steel sheet being a substrate, the lower layer consists of a metallic chronium layer of ≥30 mg/m² per one side and the upper layer has an electrolytic chromate treatment film consisting of a hydrated chromium oxide layer of 5-30 mg/m in terms of metallic chronium per one side and furthermore a styrene/maleic anhydride copolymer shown in a formula and/or its ester body and/or alkali salt of at least either one hand are contained in the upper layer.
